Description
Although sugar cane is indigenous to Fiji and grows wild, its importance as a crop was not realised until 1870 when the cotton price slumped. Commercial production of rum is thought to have begun 20 years later. The beautifully balanced rum gives soft ripe fruit and acacia honey on the nose. The palate delivers more ripe fruit, a treacle note and light, well-controlled wood. The attractive finish is clean and lingering. Berry Bros. & Rudd
